Sabine Bonnar: 10/8/2015

The presenter Sabine Bonnar will demonstrate painting a watercolor fall landscape and talk about her personal approach and techniques.

Growing up in Germany, Sabine found her love of painting in high school. She was inspired by her art teacher and later attended art classes at the Art College in Essen, Germany.

After coming to the United States Sabine took art classes at the Art Institute in Chicago. Later ,after moving to Connecticut she took art classes at Sacred Heart University.

Sabine has participated in local, national and international art competitions and has won many awards, including the Grumbacher Gold Medallion.

Her work can be seen at the Peoples Bank, Trumbull Library, Trumbull Town Hall,  Stratford and Fairfield Senior Centers and many business and private collections. Her design of a large stained glass window is in the Holy Cross Lutheran Church.

Sabine is an art instructor at the Trumbull, Fairfield and Stratford Senior Centers, Middlebrook Farms, after school programs and summer camps. She gives private workshops and classes and demonstrates for art organizations. She does  commissions of  portraits of homes.   She says she loves to share the beauty that surrounds us, and let you see it through her eyes.
