Lee has never taken any art classes, but she has long been in art-related fields: fashion, design, theatre,  as an artist rep and later working for an international gallery. She did not think she was an artist but knew she had a natural sensitivity and awareness of space, color, composition and design, After one of her tables was accepted into the first juried show she entered,  she rented a studio in one of the old Bridgeport Factories and was honored as Bridgeport Artist of the Month. She went on to exhibit her tables in subsequent area juried shows and galleries.

Lee is a member of the Fairfield County Arts Association, the Westport Artist Collective, Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County, and BRAG. She works in several different media, using inspiration drawn from found objects and nature. Her removable and interchangeable boxed art assemblage is incorporated in the center of her unique interactive side tables. People can add memorabilia, floating candles, collectibles, miniature gardens, holiday displays, or treasures from the beach. Her mixed media collage mirrors often incorporate removable, wearable jewelry which buyers can replace with something from their own collection, use as a jewelry display or for hanging keys on the included hooks.

Lee says “My intention is to offer the opportunity to co-create with me, and build upon what I have already designed. I consider myself a “Dadaist” where everything is and can be art.  For me, there can be beauty in a shadow – inspiration is everywhere….
