Our presenter will be artist, Karen Butler. She will discuss her different painting series and show examples of the works that relate.
Karen studied art at the University of Wisconsin. In 1968, she exhibited her paintings at the National Academy of Design and the Nardin Gallery. In 1976, she was invited to join the American Watercolor Society, where she has served on the Board of Directors over the years.
Karen has had numerous one-person shows in New York, Chicago, Seattle and Vermont, and has received honors and awards from national art organizations and competitions. She has work in Library of Congress, Victoria & Albert Museum in London, Brooklyn Museum, University of New Mexico Art Museum, Smithsonian American Art Museum & Portrait Gallery Library, New York Public Library Print Department, University of Washington, Northwestern University, and University of Wisconsin.
